This session aims to highlight novel immune mechanisms and cell populations involved in myositis pathogenesis. In particular, speakers will discuss how immunophenotyping may assist in understanding disease heterogeneity and cell interactions contributing to disease. Further, the session will highlight new mechanisms of local muscle inflammation and damage that could be therapeutically targeted.
